Charlottenburg's night has rooms with memory: jazz under the railway, cocktails behind heavy curtains, old actor pubs, a rooftop view, and one bar built like a lavatory fever dream. Start around Savignyplatz or Zoo and decide whether the night is for listening, drinking, or spectacle; A-Trane and Quasimodo run on dated programs, while The Hat permits smoking indoors.
- Rum TraderRum Trader is an old-school Charlottenburg cocktail bunker: small, formal in its own eccentric way, and better when you are happy to let the bartender steer. It is a Berlin classic, not a flexible group hang. Go with patience and a taste for house rules.
- Monkey BarMonkey Bar looks across the zoo and west Berlin from the top of Bikini Berlin, a view strong enough to explain the persistent line. The drinks are competent and the room is loud; go near opening for the windows, later for the crowd.

Come for a pub supper that can roll into drinks rather than a midnight sprint. It closes at midnight and takes Tuesday off, so use it at the start of the night.

The pleasure is the accumulated atmosphere, not polished service or modern plating. It opens at 6 PM Monday through Saturday; telephone reservations begin only once the doors are open.
- KLOKLO has spent more than half a century turning a toilet joke into an entire bar: tipping stools, rising tables, bathroom vessels, and mechanical surprises in every dark corner. It is shamelessly touristy and more funhouse than drinking destination, which is exactly why it belongs as Charlottenburg's oddball counterweight. Bring a sense of humor; come for one round and the spectacle, not a serious cocktail.
