Chef Lek built Fisherman’s around the cooking and catch of his Baan Tai fishing family, opening in 2007 and converting family boats into seats. The menu gives local seafood a modern Thai treatment beside the beach. Reserve for sunset, when the small number of dining tables matters most.
Eat.co makes plant-based cooking a full meal, with cashew-tofu carbonara, tempeh bacon and substantial bowls alongside breakfasts and juices. Homemade sauces and meat alternatives give the menu more range than a salad counter. The Sri Thanu kitchen takes its last orders at 22:00.
Chana Masala brings northern and southern Indian vegetarian cooking to the Hin Kong road, with dosas, curries and chai giving it a clear identity among the beach cafés. Vegan options broaden the choice without making the whole menu vegan. It works for breakfast as well as an evening curry.
Kikekla’s original Hin Kong kitchen moves between beef massaman, sea bass, duck confit and French toast, with tables facing the shore. The broad menu works for a group splitting between Thai food and Western brunch. This pin is the Hin Kong branch; its newer Sri Thanu restaurant is separate.
L’Alcove serves French cheeses, charcuterie and duck dishes beside Hin Kong, with Thai cooking available for a mixed table. Its wine selection runs to around sixty bottles, including sixteen by the glass. Music and performances add another reason to stay after dinner; the bistro closes on Mondays.
This is Bubba’s original Baan Tai café, opened in 2015, where Thai-grown coffee meets breakfast plates, courgette fritters and French toast. The company roasts its coffee on the island and works with Thai farms. Its Haad Yao roastery and Thong Sala café are separate branches.
Nira’s has baked for Koh Phangan since 1985, growing from a family kitchen into a familiar address for bread, pastries and cakes. The Thong Sala branch also serves breakfast plates and sandwiches, useful before a ferry or a day exploring the island. Arrive earlier for the best bakery choice.
Dots serves coffee, sandwiches and cakes in central Thong Sala, with tables and Wi-Fi intended for people who want to work as well as eat. The café makes a practical pause near the ferry town’s shops and market. Its daytime hours make it a breakfast or afternoon address.
