Best Hostels in Phuket
Five hostels offer three different bases: Patong for organised social nights, Old Town for walkable food and culture, and the airport area for an easier flight connection. Dorm types and reception hours make the differences practical.
Lub d Phuket Patong
Air-conditioned dorms and private rooms share a see-through pool, games area and coworking space close to Patong Beach. An activity team and pool parties make meeting people easy, though the property’s social programme is part of the stay rather than incidental background.
Mad Monkey Phuket Patong Beach
Mixed and female-only dorms share a pool, bar and restaurant, with hosted meetups and games running through the week. The Patong address and party programme suit travellers who want company and nights out. Quiet evenings are a different priority.
The Luna Hostel Phuket Airport
Dorms, private rooms and family rooms sit near Phuket Airport, with breakfast included and a reception team available around the clock. Its northern location is useful for a flight connection or Nai Yang stay; Patong and Old Town are separate journeys.
Book a Bed Poshtel
Four-bed mixed and female-only dorms share an outdoor pool, TV lounge and pool table beside Limelight Avenue. Old Town restaurants and the Indy Market are close by. Private rooms are also sold, so select a dorm bed explicitly if that is the experience you want.
Aekkeko Hostel
Dorm beds, a shared kitchen and garden areas occupy a small Old Town hostel on Krabi Road. Rules ask for quiet after 22:00 and keep outside visitors out of dorms. The reception closes at 22:00, making arrival time a useful part of the booking decision.
