Best Things to Do in the Phi Phi Islands
Phi Phi’s activities centre on booked diving, marine conservation and the limestone coast, with a steep walk above the twin bays. Operator meeting times, park restrictions and transfers to the northern education centre give each choice a different commitment.
Princess Divers
Princess Divers runs introductory dives, certification courses and guided boat trips around Phi Phi. The centre has operated since 2001 and teaches in several languages. Book the actual course or trip to establish the meeting time, equipment and sea conditions.
The Adventure Club
The Adventure Club runs PADI courses and guided dive trips alongside reef-restoration work around Phi Phi. Its Tonsai office asks divers to check in the day before a booked departure, allowing time to confirm experience and fit equipment.
Marine Discovery Centre
The Marine Discovery Centre explains Phi Phi’s marine life through shark, clownfish and island interpretation zones at SAii. Coral propagation and breeding programmes connect the exhibits to conservation work. Arrange the current activity session and resort access before making a boat trip.
Phi Phi Viewpoint 2
Viewpoint 2 looks across Phi Phi Don’s narrow isthmus to Tonsai and Loh Dalum bays. The ascent involves steep steps and hillside paths rather than road access. Carry water and allow time for the climb as well as the view.
Maya Bay
Maya Bay encloses white sand beneath Phi Phi Leh’s limestone walls. Boats land at Loh Samah and visitors approach by boardwalk; swimming is prohibited to protect the recovering ecosystem. Timed access, annual August–September closure and weather restrictions govern the visit.
